SUPER ENDURO ELECTRIC BIKES IN EUROBIKE 2010 !
One of my focus this year in Eurobike was to find every full suspension long travell electric bike.
And this is the result (sorry it´s only in spanish )

7 inch (180mm) Allmountain-FR in Eurobike 2010
Let´s see what Eurobike given us this edition with the claimed 7 inch allmountain bikes offered! Get almost the whole range aviables now of this type of bikes!
Fox Shock has finally given the initial shot ...
Are 7inch travel really needed for the allmountain trails we use to ride or is something more like DH&FR runs on your own legs lift ?
Will the sag be too much when pedaling with the wheel too stuck to the ground and also less reactive bike when the track goes gnarly ?
Do you want to go faster on your skinny trails ? Why not an evolution in the opposite way like Last Bikes, less travel (5.5 inch), lower bottom bracket and around 65º headset ?
Does it means more travel being faster on the allmountian trails or just faster sales ?

Trek Scratch 6.6 inch build as a freeride machine but also a good tool with an allmountian set up...

White-Blue Fox Float it fits well to final paint job but it doesn´t helps us in the way to the top of the hill...
This brand also has launch a gearbox system saving us any type of derailleurs

The Firebird features now 7 inch at the front considering 6.6 inch already had at the back....
6.6 offers us this Peter Denk development and Fox way way round... Jekyll and Mr.Hide ...
Kona provides us now 7.5 inch with it´s "Magic Link". Also looks more cool than before with this slacker head angle.
The Frenchman, Karim Armour used this bike at Crankworxs Whistler in Open Canadian Enduro (4th) and Canadian Open DH being 22th. Not bad!
There will be some day a bike between Nomad and Driver 8 ? Is it really necessary.? We´ll see....
Nomad is here cause it was probably the first allmountian bike to performance like a real DH.
Anodized finish option disappears but in exchange you can get a nomad carbon.
Innovative German Bionicon people offers us now new model between Tesla 6inch and Ironwood 8inc, the new Alva 180Air or Coil witch it gives us as all Bionicon machines the possibility to change radically geometry on the fly. Plus now it also includes new hipper extension system giving to the rear shock an extra size in order to help us in our pedaling when uphill. New suspension have a claimed auto lubrication system for the bars which will make us forgot about to take care even if it´s summer or winter conditions. Interesting.
And here the brand that probably is pushing more at the moment in the marketing tools in Europe in order to make us realize about the need of 7 inch in allmountain, but with the need of their remote control which it will avoid us to have too much sag when pedaling on 7 inch. So they offer us the possibility to go to 4.3 inch at the back by one click switching on the handlebar or even to block both suspensions at the same time. maybe for this reason maybe the lyric as a choice...
Here some of the ones I couldn´t shot but I just let you know here in order to give the maximum range of view as I can to this allmountain category
Canfield Bros, maybe the first ones who got the balls to offers us mad allmountains with 8 inch travel in the past. Now looks they nailed with this indestructible new One version with 7.7inc travel and 2.5inc rearward.
Also liteville was one of the ones to offer us such amount of pedaling travell...
The new Mondraker Zenith features 6.6 inch. If Barel goes as it goes on Foxy model with 5.5 inch... does this one go faster?

MEGA ACTION!! ...and mega rescue... :(
Megavalanche 2010 - Pau Rex´S P.O.V + serious crash&injurie from pau rex´s on Vimeo.
Finally here the most waited action from Alpe d´Huez Mountains...
Pay attention to:
- Remy Absalon crashes (the guy in blue) in the start.
- Cool overtaking jumping in to offcambra bit of snow.
- First crash with my fine ass on the rocks when was going like hell!
- Nice battle with the frenchman Olivier Navarro, (green bike/guy) wich it looks he did not pull the night before... more explosive power but overtaking him later at my pace.
- HORRENDOUS CRASH/INJURIE when was following the guy in front cutting a small chicane wich i did not tried before. Maybe undercocentration cause it wasn´t a too dificult bit, did my right hand not hold strong enought and slipped off with the ugly consecuences you can see...
NOTE that ellbow dislocation is one of the most painfull injuries you can have. Even some people get uncounscient due to the extremme pain wich it tooks to me more than 2h, 3 morphine injections and one general anesthessia
- Dangerous HELICOPLTER boarding : Man! cause the thing did not land to the ground cause it was so steep I was shitted on my pants thinking maybe those wings would cut us in half cause so close to the ground and we just blow there!

Video P.O.V Mega Qualifying with Nicolas Vouilloz and Cameron Cole groupe!

Going second many time! Watch when almost had terrible crash when I was going troght the wide straight track and suddently there was a water hole across in a blind curve!
Despite I was going second a long time since the start I finished 5th for 2 reasons mainly:
- Cause I was focusing trainning the glacier bit, I did not have time to recognize the first half part of the qualifying, some of the most technichall of the avalanchhe circuit. So some competitiors overtookme in some legal shortcuts wich I did not know obviously.
- I crashed twice when I was going second again heading the final part, cause i realised my rear brake level was touching the hanldlebar and did not brake enought so i tryied to fixe it on the way! big mistake!
What a shame i could not get line A! Our wave it was the fastest! And with my time i would get easyly letter A in many of the other waves!

Mega day race?: BAD CRASH! SERIOUSLY DISLOCATED ELLBOW!
Half past the race unfortunatelly my hand slipped off the handlebar having my worst crash of my life. My ellbow completelly dislocated I thought my arm was in pieces. So much suffering and painfull finnally the elicopter came to rescue me, and had another session of torture in the hospital when the doctor tryied to put it in place twice unsuccessfully without anhesthesic! Oh my god i was in hell!
Mega was over for me, and probably most of the season now. I have inmobilized arm now for 3 weeks and long recovery to be 100% again.

Despite it was only very few seconds it was great start going in second place just behind Nicolas Vouilloz stella for a while!
Also had nice fight with Cameron Cole, some other brits and friend, Iago Garay.

You gotta see almost the start what happened... famous rider involved...
All the run, many overtakings risking overtakings, best position for camera, so hope you won´t find out there better P.O.V video than this of this edition!
Also with funny comments (sorr if you can´t read them properly, I had to low down the resollution in order to fit it to 500MG max. (( but maybe better like this :I The music is from Icebend of Hiperventilation Album, a great young band from Barcelona.

Top 10 2nd wave Maxiavalanche Europ Cup Andorra
Una mala sortida impedeix al biker anoienc lluitar per les places de podi, tot finalitzant 8è a la segona màniga i 13è de la general.La complicada sortida i el fang acomulat durant la setmana va ser un dels factors claus per als més de 500 riders de tot Europa que es van aplegar a l´estació Andorrana de Vallnord durant tot el cap de setmana per afrontar la primera prova puntuable per a la Copa d´Europa de l´especialitat.

Cedric!... Nooooo....!!
Now, once seen the slow mottion I´m quite glad to known I haven been hitten by such a beast of MTB and no by anyone... Now 22th at first wave comming from de very back ,sticked like a fish in a network, feels better...
But I vote allready now for Edwards makes the start as it was lasts year again!
